Thor Helical dowel pins are grouted wall anchors used to reconnect and reinforce cracked brickwork and separating masonry layers. This versatile spiral dowel pin system is typically used to tie the perimeter wall of a structure to its cross walls, tie rubble filled walls or to effect masonry arch repairs to buildings, bridges and tunnels by tying separating masonry layers to sound substrate above..

The helical pins are available in heavy duty sections, which combine the axial resilience and shear strength of the stainless steel helical dowels with the properties of WHO60 grout to greatly enhance the tensile, shear and flexural capacity of the masonry and to provide resilience to further movement.

WHO60^® is a high specification, non-shrink cement based grout that rapidly develops compressive strength.  The grout is pumped into long pre-formed and wetted bores and the helical pins are wound into the unset grout.

Once set, the high strength grout interlocks with the peaks and troughs of the helix to bond the twisted dowel pin to the masonry and secure both in place.
