Warm roof fixings secure counter battens to rafters without compressing over rafter insulation layers located between (Kingspan, Celotex, Rockwool, Xtratherm etc.). Thor Helical Super 7™ warm roof batten fixings offer a superior ability to carry compressive loads, resist tensile forces and withstand bending moments than a 6mm helical skew type fixing. Super 7™ warm roof nails are suitable for use in warm roofing having over-rafter insulation up to 150mm deep.

HeliCalc™ software utilises a BRE approved calculation method to select the correct fixing length and density appropriate to the combination of the warm roof detail and site exposure conditions.  Calculations for wind and snow loads are to BS 6399 Pts 2 & 3 and appropriate factors of safety are applied to independent test results in compliance with the National Annexes to Eurocodes 0 and 5. 

The robust stainless steel helical nails are installed vertically through raised counter battens and into the hidden rafter with the aid of the new Alignment & Support Tool, which has been designed to eliminate the technical and practical deficiencies associated in skew fastening and bending. This 'in-square' batten fixing method [patent pending] facilitates improved warm roof build quality and alleviates costly between-rafter fixing and sealing.
